Physical Therapists
Dr. Chris Brehm, PT, DPT
Dr. Chris Brehm is a physical therapist and the owner of Lifeline Physical Therapy. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and Master of Physical Therapy degree from Chatham University. He graduated from Marietta College, OH with a Bachelor’s in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training. He is an active member of the Private Practice, Orthopedic, and Cardiopulmonary sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association, and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Dr. Brehm’s professional interest is in evidence based physical therapy practice using manual therapy techniques with the incorporation of therapeutic and neuromuscular control exercises, as well as treating cardiopulmonary impairments. Dr. Brehm enjoys golfing, traveling, and attending sporting events.
Dr. Nick Costanzo PT, DPT
Dr. Nick Costanzo is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Forest Hills, PA. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Saint Francis University in 2011. Dr. Costanzo has a passion for treating patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, with a specialty in vestibular dysfunction and post-concussion syndrome. When Dr. Costanzo isn’t working, he enjoys watching football and hockey, traveling with his family, and playing Pokémon GO. His favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Kevin Carbone, MPT, CSCS
Kevin Carbone is a physicail therapist and is the Facility Director at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Upper St. Clair, PA. Kevin joined Lifeline Therapy in 2014. He earned his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from D’Youville University in Buffalo, NY graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and has worked with numerous high school, collegiate, and professional athletes over the years. Kevin is credentialed in Graston Technique Therapy, and has taught clinical laboratories at Chatham University, and guest lectured at the University of Pittsburgh. Kevin’s professional interest is in orthopedics; particularly sports related injuries, as well as utilizing manual techniques and therapeutic exercise to return patients to function. Kevin lives in the South Hills with his wife and three kids, and enjoys exercising, playing music, and cheering on his sports teams during his free time.
Dr. Rachael Letterman-Plitt, PT, DPT
Dr. Rachael is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in McMurray, PA. Dr. Rachael earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chatham University in 2022, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Geneva College in 2020. Rachael is passionate about treating multiple patient populations including orthopedic, neurologic, and athletic. Dr. Rachael uses Blood Flow Restriction techniques, especially with post-surgical patients, to improve range of motion and mobility at a faster rate. She plans to obtain her COMT certification to improve mobility and function with manual therapy techniques, as well as obtaining vestibular specialties to further specialize in the treatment of dizziness, concussion, and balance conditions. Outside of the clinic, Rachael enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, exercising, and playing tennis.
Dr. Shane Dugan, DPT
Dr. Shane Dugan is a physical therapist and facility director at Lifeline Physical Therapy in West Mifflin, PA. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and supply chain management from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015 and his doctorate in physical therapy from Chatham University in 2022. Shane enjoys helping patients with all things musculoskeletal, vertigo, and balance. When Shane is not in the clinic he likes being active, working on DIY projects, and traveling with his wife.
Dr. Kelly Evans PT, DPT
Dr. Kelly Evans is a physical therapist and the Director of Operations at Lifeline Therapy. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University. With experience spanning acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health, Dr. Evans is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and improving rehabilitation outcomes. As Director of Operations, she focuses on optimizing clinical efficiency, enhancing patient experiences, and supporting a team-driven approach to therapy. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and traveling to new destinations.
Dr. Jeanette Kochman, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Jeanette Kochman is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Forest Hills, PA as well as part of the leadership team. Dr. Kochman joined Lifeline Physical Therapy in Forest Hills in 2006. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Chatham University. She earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University. She is a certified clinical instructor and has teaching experience as a guest lecturer at various local physical therapy schools and conferences. Dr. Kochman is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Orthopedic Section, and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Kochman obtained a Certificate of Orthopedic Excellence for the spine in 2017, a Certificate of Orthopedic Excellence for the lower quarter in 2019, and a Certificate of Orthopedic Excellence for the upper quarter in 2022. Her professional interest is in advanced manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, patient education, and incorporation of evidence-based treatments. Dr. Kochman enjoys spending time with her son, exercising, and any outdoor activities.
Dr. Rachel Long PT, DPT
Dr. Rachel Long PT, DPT is a physical therapist and the Facility Director at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Penn Hills, PA. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2009 and her Bachelor Degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a certificate in Kinesiology in 2006 from The University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Long has an American Physical Therapy Association recognized competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation which she received in 2011, Advanced Vestibular Certification from the American Institute of Balance in 2022 as well as advanced clinical skills and knowledge. She specializes in the treatment of dizziness, vertigo, concussion and balance in addition to orthopedic conditions. Dr. Long is a certified practitioner for LSVT BIG since 2017. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, The Vestibular Disorders Association, The Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy, and the Vestibular Rehabilitation Special Interest Group. In her free time, Dr. Long enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, and any outdoor activities.
Dr. Olivia Mikula, PT, DPT
Dr. Olivia Mikula, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Penn Hills, PA. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chatham University in 2022, and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. Olivia is also a Registered Yoga Teacher, RYT200. Olivia’s professional interests include orthopedic, neurologic, and chronic pain populations. She prioritizes patient education and facilitates body awareness in her treatment. Outside of the clinic, Olivia enjoys all types of exercise and yoga, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Emily Miskell PT, DPT
Dr. Emily Miskell is a physical therapist and the Facility Director at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Monroeville, PA. Emily received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Rehabilitation Science with a certificate in Pathokinesiology in Rehabilitation. She went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2010. She has more than a decade of experience in orthopedic physical therapy with a special focus on post-operative care including knee replacements and rotator cuff repairs, conservative care of arthritis, as well as comprehensive musculoskeletal care. She trained with the McKenzie Institute for spine care, is certified to provide Selective Functional Movement Assessments and to perform Graston instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. Her individualized treatment plans focus on restoring function and quality of life with an emphasis on collaboration between the patient and clinician. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her family, and the outdoors.
Dr. Jennifer Szuminsky PT, DPT, LSVT BIG
Dr. Jennifer Szuminsky is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in McMurray, PA. She joined Lifeline Therapy in 2023. Dr. Szuminsky earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences with a certificate in Pathokinesiology in Rehabilitation from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. Dr. Szuminsky is a credentialed clinical instructor and is certified in LSVT BIG, a treatment approach to improve the quality of life for patients with Parkinson’s Disease. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Pennsylvania Chapter, and Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Section. Dr. Szuminsky’s professional interests include orthopedics, manual therapy, and Parkinson’s treatment. She lives in the South Hills with her husband and 2 daughters. She enjoys kayaking, exercising, reading, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Matt Varca, DPT
Dr. Matt Varca is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in McMurray and Upper St. Clair, PA. Matt earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University in 2015, and his Bachelor of Science in Applied Kinesiology from Rutgers University in 2012. Matt is passionate about helping individuals of any age achieve their full potential and return to activities they love. Dr. Matt has extensive experience working with police, fire, military, tactical athletes and post-operative ACL population. Dr. Matt utilizes his advanced training in strength and conditioning, blood flow restriction, and Postural Restoration to help his client achieve the best result in the shortest given time. Outside of the clinic, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and son, weight training, hiking, camping and watching football.
Dr. Jamie Wichrowski, DPT
Dr. Jamie Wichrowski is a physical therapist and facility director at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Forest Hills, PA. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at Saint Francis University, where she received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. She has worked in the outpatient setting since her graduation, primarily specializing in treating orthopedic cases. Jamie serves as a clinical instructor for various colleges and universities and enjoys teaching aspiring PT students. In her spare time, Jamie loves spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews, and watching Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins games.
Dr. Kathleen Zulkoski PT, DPT, GCS
Dr. Kathleen Zulkoski is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Warrendale, PA, joining the team in 2022. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Francis University in 2011. She was initially interested in physical therapy as an NCAA soccer player and later became passionate in the treatment and care of the geriatric population. She is an LSVT BIG certified clinician and a Board Certified Specialist in Geriatrics. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association chapter. She has completed continuing education courses from the Postural Restoration Institute, manual therapy using Mulligan’s Mobilization with Movement techniques and her primary professional interests include treatment of patients with geriatric and orthopedic conditions. In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her family, biking, running, hiking, and reading a good book.
Dr. Chris Olshavsky, PT
Dr. Chris Olshavsky is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Grove City, PA. He graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology, and from the University of Puget Sound in 2013 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He has certifications in Functional Dry Needling, is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified medical provider, and is an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor. Chris has worked with people of all ages and ability levels, and particularly enjoys working with postoperative ACL/Knee patients, overhead and rotary athletes, FCE/return to work programming, individuals with compromised respiratory systems and – outside the clinic – enjoys canine injury rehabilitation. When he’s not in the office, you can find him spending time with his family, watching local sports, continuing his search for the perfect pierogi, woodworking, fly fishing, or dog training with his French Brittany, Tex.
Dr. Shelby Hoblit PT, DPT
Dr. Shelby Hoblit is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Forest Hills, PA. Shelby earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and minor in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2015. Shelby earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from Chatham University in 2018. Shelby is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Her professional interests are in treating patients with cardiopulmonary and orthopedic conditions. Dr. Hoblit enjoys hiking, visiting with friends and family, and in the fall you can find her watching the Ohio State Buckeyes on the football field.
Dr. Jenna Kantor, PT, DPT
Jenna Kantor, PT, DPT is a physical therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Penn Hills. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University.
Jenna is certified in Dance Physical Therapy and Graston Technique and has a strong clinical interest in treating performing artists using a whole-body, evidence-based approach. Her areas of focus include functional rehabilitation, pain science, pediatric therapy, and treating conditions related to digestion and inflammation.
She created The Dance PT Program CEU Course, which trains clinicians to specialize in treating dancers. Jenna has been invited to speak on dancer rehabilitation and performing arts medicine at national and international conferences, including IADMS, CSM, AAPT, APTA PPS, Graham Sessions, and Dance PT Summits.
Jenna is also the host of the Dance PT Podcast and a guest host on the Healthy Wealthy and Smart podcast.
When she is not in the clinic, Jenna enjoys staying involved in the performing arts and advocating for dancers’ health and wellness.
Respiratory Therapists
Rebecca Cioccio BS, RRT
Rebecca Cioccio is a respiratory therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in McMurray, PA. Rebecca is a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care and is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania-Western Pennsylvania School of Respiratory Care with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care. Her previous experiences include critical care, homecare, and conducting clinical trials on respiratory equipment. Rebecca enjoys boating on the Three Rivers, cooking, vacations at the beach, and spending time with her children.
Lauren Schaupp, RT
Lauren Schaupp is a respiratory therapist at the Forest Hills and Monroeville Lifeline Physical Therapy locations. Lauren earned her Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Ohio State University. She has been working as a Respiratory Therapist for 5 years with experience from the Wexner Medical Center, UPMC Children’s Hospital, and Philips Respironics. She has been able to practice in a wide variety of environments from critical care, general floors, and patient education for asthma and sleep apnea. When she is not at work, Lauren enjoys reading, crocheting, and taking walks with her fiancé and their dog!
Miranda Moses, RT
Miranda Moses is a respiratory therapist at Lifeline Physical Therapy in Grove City, PA. Miranda completed her Bachelor’s of Science degree at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and an Associate’s degree in criminal justice through the Community College of the Air Force. Miranda served 10.5 years in the United States Air Force. In addition to her work at Lifeline Physical Therapy, she works at Passavant-McCandless Hospital and Butler Hospital as a staff Respiratory Therapist. She is very passionate about helping others especially through her work as an RT. She lives in Butler with her husband and 3 dogs. She enjoys spending time with family, going camping, and trying new pizza places!
