Cupping Therapy
Relieve muscle tension and improve circulation so you can move better
Cupping therapy uses specialized cups to create gentle suction on the skin. This helps lift and mobilize tight tissue, increase blood flow to the area, and support healing—often leaving you feeling looser and less stiff.
Who is Cupping Therapy Good For?
Cupping can be a great fit if you’re dealing with:
- Tight or “stuck” muscles (neck, shoulders, back, hips, calves)
- Muscle soreness from workouts, sports, or repetitive activity
- Restricted mobility or stiffness that doesn’t seem to loosen up
- Overuse issues like IT band irritation or plantar fasciitis
- General aches and pains where soft tissue work helps you move more comfortably
What to Expect
You’ll feel a pulling or suction sensation as the cups are applied. Your therapist may leave the cups in place or gently glide them to address larger areas. Sessions are typically short and targeted.
It’s common to have circular redness or discoloration afterward—this is normal and usually fades within a few days (sometimes up to a week). Mild soreness can also happen for 24–48 hours.
Why it helps
Cupping helps by:
- Increasing circulation and oxygen to tight, painful areas
- Improving tissue mobility (especially when fascia feels “stuck”)
- Reducing muscle tension and improving range of motion
- Complementing exercise and hands-on therapy for faster progress
Is it Safe?
Yes. Cupping is performed by licensed physical therapists who are trained in these techniques. We’ll review your health history and skin sensitivity first to make sure it’s appropriate for you.
What Does it Cost?
Cupping therapy is $35 per treatment area.
